New head wire and outlet cord with Vintage Hubbol plug with brass custom cover.Winding (stator) and rotor (armature) where cleaned and clear insulating varnish was applied. The rotor to shaft does not leak oil it comes out the top of gear box oscillator wheel when full so the gear box has oil in it as well. So parts are machined very well and no wear. So new fiber spacers on rotor and end play lash was adjusted. fan was completely taken apart and cleaned sandblasted any rust and primed with etch primer after any imperfections where fixed and wet sanded before painting and runs great. Very smooth running and balanced blade. Runs smooth with no vibrations and the oscillator turns smooth and no slope in the movement. New rubber feet and brass grommets where installed. Has new leather fan blade to rotor leather gasket The bottom insulating fiber piece still in great shape. New hi temp red grease was used in oscillating gearbox. and synthetic 10 w 30 motor oil was used. weighs 22 pounds and is 17 inch's high by 13 inch's wide by 10 inch's in depth. The oscillator lever arms where all adjusted to have proper spacing so not to bind in there operating mod, there is no motor drag or slope in the oscillating movement Starts up every time even when in full oscillating mode, has 3 speeds no oscillator gear noise very quite fan blades are stamped Patd. Sept. 12, 1899 on one blade and the PARKER fan blade on other opposing side. Does seem to start up faster on the last lever notch than the first position. Motor is quite and most noise is from fan blades pushing the air.On Nov-28-18 at 08:28:01 PST, seller added the following information: There will be instructions on how to install fan blade cage and brackets with this fan, they will be removed and boxed separate from the motor which will be in its own box and both boxes in one large box. No foam peanuts will be used in packaging only bubble wrap and plastic bags. It will be packaged very tightly so no damage can happen in shipping and advise it be unpackaged carefully on a carpet floor or lay a blanket down. This fan is very heavy and you will need a 1/4 inch screwdriver and a 3/16 screw driver. A Forming nail will be included or you can use an awl to hold the armature to install the fan blade which has to be turned counter clockwise to install the fan blade. It has left hand threads on the fan blade. Oil must be added before starting and I use a synthetic brand of motor oil of 5w30. you can use a straight 30 weight of 30 for hot climate weather.
